The grand reception on the occasion of the Day of the First President and Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was hosted by the Kazakh Amb. to India HE Yerlan Alimbayev in New Delhi.
The festive event, held on December 6, 2019, in the oldest hotel in the city “The Imperial” which was attended by more than 300 guests, including representatives of government, parliament, business and public circles of India, the media, as well as diplomatic corps accredited in New Delhi.
The event was graced with the presence of Shri V. Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs as the Chief Guest of the evening. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Yerlan Alimbayev, in his opening remarks, emphasized the great contribution of international initiatives of Kazakhstan to strengthening international peace and security. The Kazakh envoy informed about with the main provisions of the Station of the Nation Address by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2019, and presented a brochure with the text of the Message in Hindi and English languages.
The guests were shown a documentary about Kazakhstan and the First President of the country. The Ambassador also spoke about the main directions of the Kazakh-Indian cooperation, outlined the areas of promising cooperation between the two countries. The guests of the evening were amazed at a Kazakh folklore performance by the renowned Kazakh group “Sarmad”.
The architectural appearance of Nur-Sultan city and the beauty of Kazakhstan’s nature took people’s attention which was demonstrated in a number of videos during the event.
The festive ambience of the event was complemented by the national cuisine.
